Artistic Director

Glynis is involved in Vancouver’s artistic scene as a dancer, instructor and administrator. Known for her infectious energy, Glynis is inspired by the way the body can move and the joy that comes from each shape and expression. A graduate of Grant MacEwan’s Theatre Arts Diploma, her credits include lead and supporting roles in various stage performances such as “Wizard of Oz”, “On the Town”, and “Hot Mikado”. Trained in multiple styles of dance as well as voice, Glynis has been featured in festivals and theatres in Alberta and British Columbia. Most recently Glynis was a dancer in “Brighter at Night” a music video with Insider Films and Sony as well as a dancer in Sydney York’s music video “Dick and Jane”. Currently, Glynis is the Artistic Director of Drive Dance Kids, partnering with the Drive Dance Centre to provide excellent dance training for kids age 2-15+.

Hip Hop

Hannah Henney first entered the dance scene in a Port Coquitlam studio at the age of 2. She hasn’t stopped moving since. Now after years of classes, competitions, conventions, and workshops with the likes of Blake McGrath, Mia Michaels, Louis Van Amstel and Tabitha and Napoleon she is an aspiring dance artist in the westcoast community. She is a well rounded performer strong in many different styles from ballet to hip hop and has received scholarships to a myriad of dance events. Hannah has traveled to Orlando Florida to perform at Universal Studios with the Extreme Team and has worked with members of Move the Company and 605 Collective. She was featured in the 2010 Triple Threat brochure, is a principal dancer in Ash Richards up coming music video “I Like Girls” and appears in Sony recording artist Ash Koley’s music video “Brighter at Night”. Despite her young age, she has over a decade of experience performing live in the lower mainland and has been recognized for her dance ability as well as her choreography. Hannah loves sharing her passion for the performing arts. She was born to dance.

Skye Matheson

Ballet

Skye’s R.A.D. ballet education first lead her to teaching ballet for children in the 90’s. Her first classes in Saskatoon were offered in English and in French! Crossing into the classroom she has developed programs for the Calgary School Board, and Vancouver’s Pooh Corner Daycare. She most recently taught dance for D’Hercy Dance before landing in her own “backyard” at Drive Dance Center.
